PRODUCTS BAG DUMP STATIONS Compact AIRLANCO Bag Dump Stations eliminate the labor, waste, and potential health hazards that may be caused by spillage or dust when handling bagged materials. The self-contained units are now available in sanitary, stainless steel construction—ideal for food, feed, phar- maceutical, pet food, and other indus- tries where contamination can be costly and dangerous. Systems range in size from 5 to 40 cubic feet in capacity and are USDA accepted to collect dust gen- erated when dumping powder and bulk solids from bags, boxes, drums, and other containers, and return the mate- rial to the hopper. AIRLANCO Stainless Steel Bag Dump Stations feature 316L stainless steel construction, continuous polished welds interior and exterior, gas assist door springs, removable bag break grate, dust hood with 8-in. dust collection port or an integral dust collector. Units re- duce material waste and eliminate the need to clean a remote dust collection site, while protecting workers and pre- venting contamination. Each station consists of a large col- lection hopper topped by a bar grate WEIGH MODULE Mettler Toledo has released the Pinmount PDX, an enhanced version of the Pinmount weigh module fea- turing the entirely digital Powercell PDX. PDX technol- ogy allows true predictive diagnostics of each individual load cell. This information can be used for preventive maintenance before problems lead to down-time or inaccurate results. The Pinmount PDX's built-in predictive diagnostics system constantly monitors the load cell and alerts the supervisor if a potential problem arises. The mi- croprocessor inside each load cell continually adjusts the weight signal to compensate for environmental factors. It provides accurate weighing regardless of the effects of temperature, linearity, hysteresis, and creep. All electronic components are enclosed in the her- metically sealed load cell housing with IP68/69k ap- proval. The Powercell PDX load cells connect to one another in a simple net- work that eliminates the need for failure-prone junction boxes. Safety- related mechanical fea- tures are present in duplicate. The Pin- mount PDX features a dual lift-off protection and 360-degree inte- grated checking that can withstand wind or seismic forces. The dual safety down-stops protect against collapse in extreme situations. Also, two optional stabilizers steady tanks with mixers thus ensuring short stabilization times. When the hopper's door is opened, the fan automatically starts to ensure that any dust is drawn through the filter. Programmable pulses of reverse air pe- riodically dislodge the material that col- lects on the surfaces of the cartridge filters and allow it to fall into the collec- tion hopper. The sloped sides of the hopper angle toward the hopper's dis- charge port, which can be joined to gravity-fed spouting or to an airlock and pneumatic line. AIRLANCO also makes airlocks that are available in fabricated and machined models for gravity feeds, pneumatic sys- tems, and volumetric discharge devices. The Bag Dump Stations are also avail- able in carbon steel with durable, indus- trial finishes. AIRLANCO, www.airlanco.com
