The rams of the new design provide approximately 6 ft. of vertical travel, roughly double the range of most conditioners employing scissor lifts to raise the bag, while the fixed-height turnta- ble reduces loading deck height by about half, noted the manufacturer. Users can program single or multiple heights at which the rams condition the bag, the amount of pressure applied by the rams' contoured end plates, the frequency of ram actu- ations and the number of 90-degree rotations of the turn- table, loosening solidified materials throughout the bag for discharge through the bag spout. The system controller can be mounted remotely or on the exterior of the safety cage, which incorporates full-height, safety-interlocked doors. The unit measures 87-in. high x 133-in. wide x 78-in. deep, requires only an electrical pow- er connection for operation and is available in stainless steel or carbon steel with durable industrial coatings. Hydraulic bulk bag conditioners are utilized to loosen bulk materials that cannot be loosened by pneumatically-actuat- ed flow promotion devices integral to bulk bag dischargers. Flexicon also manufactures bulk bag conditioners that utilize scissor-lifts and conditioners integral to bulk bag dischargers, as well as bulk bag fillers, flexible screw con- veyors, tubular cable conveyors, pneumatic conveying systems, manual dumping stations, drum/box/container dumpers, weigh batching systems, and automated plant- wide systems integrated with new or existing process equipment. Flexicon Corp., www.flexicon.com BinMaster Heavy-Duty Probe The BinMaster HD probe is a heavy duty, stainless-steel probe that can be attached to either the PROCAP I or PROCAP II capac- itance probes. It comes in a standard 8-ft. length and features a PRO-Shield to guard against false readings from material buildup on the probe. The wide diameter of the probe increases the surface area for maximum sen- sitivity and performance. It is suitable for use in temperatures up to 500 degrees F (260 C), making it appropriate for challenging appli- cations such as fly ash or clinker. Because the probe is solid and 1-ft. in diameter, it is resis- tant to bending and extremely durable. Like all BinMaster capacitance probes, the heavy-duty (HD) probe offers fail-safe operation and "Quick-Set" cal- ibration. BinMaster capacitance probes provide interfer- ence-free operation – working far below the RF level of 9 KHz at just 6 KHz – and will not interfere with two-way radios or other equipment operating in the radio spectrum. The PROCAP I and PROCAP II capacitance probes feature a triple-thread, screw-off cover that allows easy access to internal components and an FDA-recognized powder coat finish. The housing also has dual conduit entries to simplify wiring and installation. A dual time delay feature allows the user to set flexible time delays up to 30 seconds for cov- ered and uncovered conditions.
