portland from Alamo Cement's San Antonio mill
and Class F ash from Boral Material's Rockdale,
Texas, operation. TCP recently deployed the new
Simem America batch plant – with 110-ton main
and twin 60-ton silos – at its flagship site in Victo-
ria, south of San Antonio. One of the Lone Star
State's charter precast/prestressed producers, it
upgraded the operation to a) meet surging pile de-
mand, fueled by petrochemical processing expan-
sion along the Gulf of Mexico; and, b) pace a
strong bridge girder market driven by Texas De-
partment of Transportation and private toll road
